Develop Your Career in Wholesale & Retail Operations with Massmart 2025 Retail Learnership

In order to develop the future generation of retail professionals, Massmart is inviting South Africans who meet the requirements but are currently unemployed to apply for our 2025 Learnership Program. You will acquire the business, interpersonal, and technical skills necessary for a prosperous retail career over the course of a year, obtain a nationally recognized National Certificate in Wholesale and Retail Operations, and obtain practical experience in our stores.

Highlights of the program: • Full-time, paid learnership for 12 months (August 2025–July 2026)

  • Exposure to essential retail functions like customer service, merchandising, inventory management, and digital retail tools; • Structured training that combines classroom instruction with on-the-floor mentoring; • Real-world work experience in Massmart stores throughout Gauteng, North West, Eastern Cape, Free State, and KwaZulu-Natal

Entry Requirements:

  • Must be a South African who has finished high school (Grade 12).
  • Must be jobless or have worked for less than a year at any one place.
  • Must not be a full-time student or in a training program paid for by SETA in 2025/26.
  • Must be ready to work in a store, including different shifts, for a set amount of time.
  • People with disabilities are really encouraged to apply.
