The Mr Price Foundation offers the JumpStart Retail Frontline Programme (RFP) — a skills development initiative designed for unemployed young South Africans who have completed matric (Grade 12). Who Can Apply
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be South African citizens.
- Hold a Grade 12 certificate.
- Be between 18 and 33 years old.
- Be unemployed.
- Have a clear criminal record.
What the Programme Includes
The Frontline Programme spans two weeks and involves:
- Life Skills and Readiness Training — Participants complete an online life skills curriculum. Topics include communication, time management, teamwork, and other interpersonal skills.
- In-Person Training & Interviews — There are sessions held face-to-face, including interviews.
- Hands-On Experience — One week of work-experience in a retail setting, enabling participants to apply what they have learned.
