Applications are being accepted for Heineken Beverages Gqeberha Manufacturing’s 14-month Food & Beverages Packaging Operations Learnership. By obtaining this certification, a person will be able to carry out routine tasks on an automated food and beverage packaging line while adhering to the specifications of a production facility.
Learnerships at Heineken Packaging
The following results are part of the Learnership:
displaying knowledge of fundamental machine functions in a production and/or packaging setting.
A crucial component of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) system is the monitoring of critical control points (CCPs).
putting quality control procedures into practice when handling sensitive consumer goods or food.
As part of the learnership on an automated food and beverage packaging line, competency in three machine workplace observations consists of (to be determined depending on operational requirements):
carrying out first-line upkeep.
using methods for solving problems.
displaying the capacity to understand and use information as well as strong communication abilities.
Exhibiting proficiency at mathematics
As part of the program, students must attend lessons and pass examinations with a minimum score of 70% in each topic.
Minimum Requirements:
jobless at the time of application.
English and mathematics (NOT math literacy) must have been completed in Grade 12.
It would be beneficial to have relevant expertise in a production or high-speed packing setting.
familiarity with safe work practices.
demonstrated ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
the capacity to work both independently and under duress.
Adaptability to the Learnership’s inherent physical demands.
Must be able and willing to work overtime and shifts as needed for workplace training.

Those who are accepted will be given a fixed-term contract.
