12-Month ECD Learnership Contract

Do you have a strong desire to improve the lives of young children? An exciting opportunity to obtain an NQF-registered qualification and gain valuable work-based experience is provided by the ECD (Early Childhood Development) Learnership program. All provinces offer this 12-month program, which is run by SETAs (Sector Education and Training Authorities).
Conditions
Applicants must fulfill the following requirements in order to be eligible for the ECD Learnership:
- Citizenship: A valid ID is required for South African citizenship.
- Age range: 16–35 years old.
- Education: Possessing a National Senior Certificate (Matric) or National Certificate (Vocational) after completing formal education, such as college or high school.
- Skills: Certain abilities, like computer literacy, might be necessary.
- Learnership Agreement: A contract defining the rights and obligations of the employer, education provider, and learner must be accepted.
- Employment Contract: Only good for the learnership period.
Tasks
Participants in the ECD Learnership program will work on a variety of projects intended to promote young children’s education and development. These consist of:
- Planning and Preparation: Setting up and getting ready to provide ECD services.
- Monitoring and Facilitating: Organizing exercises to support education and track kids’ development.
- Providing Care: Encouraging children’s overall development by providing them with emotional support and care.
- Evaluating Learning Outcomes: Creating and carrying out tests to gauge kids’ academic progress.
- Ensuring children’s safety and healthy development in the classroom is known as “promoting safety.”
- Working with Others: Enhancing child support through cooperation with coworkers, families, and community systems.
- Managing Learning Programs: Creating, planning, and sustaining efficient and well-structured educational initiatives.
