Exciting Opportunity: Join the South African State Theatre as an Usher

The South African State Theatre is offering an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about the performing arts and customer service. We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Ushers to join our team on a fixed-term contract of three years.

This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic and creative environment, where you will be an important part of ensuring that our patrons have a positive and enjoyable experience during performances and events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcoming and directing guests to their seats
• Providing accurate information about the theatre and performances
• Ensuring the safety and comfort of all patrons
• Assisting with crowd control and emergency procedures when necessary
• Supporting front-of-house operations as required

Ideal Candidate Profile:
We are looking for individuals who are professional, friendly, and customer-focused. You should have excellent communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team, and a strong sense of responsibility. Prior experience in a customer service or front-of-house role is advantageous, though not required.

Requirements:

• Must have Grade 12 / Matric
• No experience required.
• Must be physically fit
