The function and goal of the position
In order for students who select Counter as a registration option to receive their study materials, this position’s goal is to assist Over-the-Counter with the picking, packing, and shipping of packages in the Counter Warehouse.

Conditions

  • Matric or Grade 12 diploma
  • must be enrolled as a student at Unisa at this time.
  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • the capacity to work both independently and in a group.
  • possess the ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Accuracy and sustained focus are essential skill sets.

Tasks

  • Selection, packaging, and delivery of pre-packaged study packages
  • Removal of study materials that are not picked up within three (3) days, unless the student has made arrangements for the parcel to be picked up.
  • recording of the study materials that students have gathered so that it is possible to determine what, by whom, and how many have been collected
  • helping with additional warehouse tasks as needed, after receiving training beforehand (e.g., picking, packing, shipping of individual items from the main warehouse into parcels).
  • ensuring safety and health at work.

Salary: Pay is in line with the position’s seniority.
