The JumpStart Retail Frontline Programme (RFP) is a comprehensive initiative aimed at empowering and preparing matriculated youth for entry-level positions within the retail industry. This innovative programme is designed to address the critical skills gap that often hinders young people’s transition from academic life to the professional world.
The programme’s core structure consists of a two-week intensive curriculum, divided into three key components. The first component is an online life skills course, which equips participants with essential soft skills, such as communication, problem-solving, and customer service. This foundational training lays the groundwork for success in the retail environment.
The second component involves in-person training and interviews, where participants engage in hands-on workshops and mock interviews. This interactive phase allows them to refine their practical skills and gain valuable feedback from industry experts, further enhancing their readiness for the job market.
The third and final component of the programme is a week-long work experience placement in a retail setting.
