Job Opportunity: EPWP Cleaners at High Court Polokwane

Position: EPWP Cleaners – (66 Contract Posts Ending on 30 September 2024)

Centre: High Court Polokwane

Salary: R2 500.00 per month

Description: We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as EPWP Cleaners at the High Court Polokwane. Successful candidates will be offered a monthly salary of R2 500.00 and will be required to sign a performance agreement.

Requirements: Candidates must meet the following criteria as set out in the Code of Good Practice for employment and conditions of work for Expanded Public Works Programme. Preference will be given to the following groups of people:

  • 55% of successful candidates to be youth from 18 – 35 years of age
  • 2% of successful candidates to be people with disabilities
  • Individuals from households where the head of the household has less than a primary school education
  • Individuals from households that have less than one full-time person earning an income
  • Individuals from households where subsistence agriculture is the source of income

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to read and write
  • Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • Honesty, reliability, and physical strength
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Duties:

  • Clean floors, dusting, washing, and polishing of furniture, walls, doors, and frames
  • Cleaning of windows, lockers, and outside areas
  • Clean and wash dust bins and removal of waste bags, including medical waste
  • Adhere to health care waste management policy
  • Terminal cleaning of infected rooms
  • Ability to cope with physical demands of the position
  • Good control of chemicals and ability to operate heavy-duty cleaning machines
  • Ensure a clean and secure environment for Court Users
  • Perform any other delegated duties by supervisor
